Abstract
The aim of this study is to analyze the social relations between team members and their interactions during the application of a design methodology, to develop guidelines for the improvement of team effectiveness. This paper presents the initial phase of the project, responsible for gathering data about methodologies used by design teams in real companies. Based on this research, several teamwork guidelines will be derived in order to improve the team effectiveness concerning the quality and level of their collaborative interaction.
