Abstract
The article presents a case where proprietary physiological sensor hardware is adapted to open-source software and discusses the advantages open research contributes to regarding innovation and rapidity. The sensors are a part of a multimodal experiment setup, which monitor the human response when interacting with engineering products or systems. By using the open-source software distribution LSL, it easily synchronizes and records data from the sensors. The article contributes to open research by expanding the options for experimental setups that facilitate the acquisition of new knowledge.
